Current Agriculture, Lawn & Garden Weather Conditions in Kentucky Based on observations at 500pm EDT, Thursday April 19, 2018 Across Kentucky...temperatures are near 52 degrees west, near 49 degrees central, and near 46 degrees east. Current sky conditions are partly sunny west, partly sunny central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 48%, and the dew point is near 33 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 52%, and the dew point is near 32 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 53%, and the dew point is near 30 degrees. Current drying conditions are good west, fair central, and fair east. Winds are from the north at 15 mph with gusts at 23 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the north at 10 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are variable at 5 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 54 degrees at Louisville International. The lowest temperature is 45 degrees at Somerset and London.

Kentucky Climate Summary Kentucky Climate Summary For the Period 04-12-2018 to 04-18-2018 Temperatures for the period averaged 56 degrees across the state which was 0 degrees from normal and 12 degrees warmer than the previous period. High temperatures averaged from 67 in the West to 69 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 2 degrees cooler than normal in the West to 1 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 47 degrees in the West to 45 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 1 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 5 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 86 degrees at LOUISA 1S and the extreme low was 22 degrees at MONTICELLO AWOS.Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 1.43 inches statewide which was 0.43 inches above normal and 143% of normal.
