Across Kentucky...temperatures are near 27 degrees west, near 32 degrees central, and near 31 degrees east. Current sky conditions are clear west, cloudy central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 78%, and the dew point is near 21 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 54%, and the dew point is near 17 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 61%, and the dew point is near 19 degrees. Current drying conditions are fair west, fair central, and fair east. Winds are calm west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the west at 8 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The wind chill is near 25 degrees central. Winds are from the west at 6 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The wind chill is near 25 degrees east. The livestock cold stress index is in the no stress category west, no stress category central, and no stress category east.  DAY ONE  Tonight.

A hard freeze will occur at most locations late tonight which could 
kill any cold sensitive vegetation that has emerged prematurely due 
to early season warmth.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Tuesday through Sunday.

Low relative humidities and gusty southwest winds will combine to 
lead to an increased threat for wildfires during the day Tuesday, 
and again on Wednesday as the winds shift more westerly.

Temperatures for the period averaged 54 degrees across the state which was 8 degrees warmer than normal and no change to the previous period. High temperatures averaged from 67 in the West to 67 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 9 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 10 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 43 degrees in the West to 41 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 6 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 8 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 82 degrees at BOWLING GREEN APT and the extreme low was 19 degrees at BRANDENBURG 4SW.

Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 0.45 inches statewide which was 0.6 inches below normal and 43% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 0.28 inches, Central 0.50 inches, Bluegrass 0.71 inches and East 0.30 inches, which was 0.77, 0.57, 0.3 and 0.76 inches below normal.
