Across Kentucky...temperatures are near 50 degrees west, near 41 degrees central, and near 44 degrees east. Current sky conditions are clear west, clear central, and partly cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 54%, and the dew point is near 34 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 62%, and the dew point is near 29 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 49%, and the dew point is near 26 degrees. Current drying conditions are fair west, fair central, and good east. Winds are from the southwest at 6 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southwest at 8 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southwest at 6 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The livestock cold stress index is in the no stress category west, no stress category central, and no stress category east.  DAY ONE  Today and Tonight

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible this 
weekend. A couple of storms could be strong north of Interstate 64
on Sunday. The main threat Sunday would be some large hail and
lightning.  

Storm chances increase late Monday and through Tuesday. 
Strong to severe storms will be possible Monday night and continuing
into Tuesday. It appears the most concentrated period of strong to
severe storms would be on Monday night. 

Confidence is low due to the complexity of the incoming systems 
and the exact timing of various features, so stay tuned to the 
forecast as it is updated over the next few days.

Spotter activation is possible Sunday and especially Monday
afternoon through Tuesday.

Temperatures for the period averaged 50 degrees across the state which was 1 degrees warmer than normal and no change to the previous period. High temperatures averaged from 63 in the West to 62 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 1 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 2 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 42 degrees in the West to 38 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 3 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 3 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 76 degrees at BOWLING GREEN APT and the extreme low was 20 degrees at VANCEBURG 6W.

Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 0.63 inches statewide which was 0.41 inches below normal and 61% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 0.71 inches, Central 0.52 inches, Bluegrass 0.41 inches and East 0.87 inches, which was 0.37, 0.52, 0.63 and 0.13 inches below normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 0.16 inches at BRANDENBURG 4SW to a high of 1.54 inches at WHITLEY CITY 3N.
