....Wet Start to the Work Week...

Widespread light to moderate showers continue across the eastern half of the state this morning. Numerous showers are likely today, although there will be relatively brief dry stretches as well. These will continue into tomorrow as low pressure is slow to move out of the area. Widespread totals of 1 to 2+ inches are expected when it is all said and done. Winds will be breezy out of the east. A few rumbles of thunder will also be possible this afternoon in southern Kentucky.

Conditions look to then dry off going into Thursday, but this will only be temporary as more rain chances arrive for Friday. Clouds and rainfall will keep temperatures below normal, but steady through the week with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s/50s through Friday. Normal highs for the last week of April are in the upper 60s to low 70s.
