Current sky conditions are cloudy west, mostly cloudy central, and light rain east. In the west, relative humidity is near 83%, and the dew point is near 50 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 59 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 97%, and the dew point is near 60 degrees. Current drying conditions are poor west, poor central, and poor east. Winds are from the north at 7 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. UKAWC Drought Page Kentucky Climate Summary Kentucky Climate Summary For the Period 04-11-2024 to 04-17-2024 Temperatures for the period averaged 65 degrees across the state which was 9 degrees warmer than normal and 12 degrees warmer than the previous period. High temperatures averaged from 77 in the West to 75 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 8 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 6 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 56 degrees in the West to 54 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 10 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 12 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 89 degrees at KOOMER RIDGE and the extreme low was 34 degrees at BURKESVILLE 3W.Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 1.28 inches statewide which was 0.18 inches above normal and 116% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 1.12 inches, Central 1.15 inches, Bluegrass 1.69 inches and East 1.15 inches, which was -0.07, 0.02, 0.63 and 0.12 inches respectively from normal.
