Across Kansas...temperatures are near 65 degrees west, near 62 degrees central, and near 53 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, cloudy central, and thunderstorms east. In the west, relative humidity is near 75%, and the dew point is near 57 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 86%, and the dew point is near 58 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 96%, and the dew point is near 52 degrees. There is patchy fog east. There is thunder central. Winds are from the east at 17 mph with gusts at 23 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the east at 16 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the east at 14 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and thunderstorms. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 74 degrees at Liberal and Garden City. The lowest temperature is 53 degrees at Topeka Forbes, Olathe Ind, and Concordia.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For SHAWNEE County,KS

753 AM CDT Thu Apr 25 2024 DAY ONE Today and tonight. A few severe storms this morning into the early afternoon may produce hail to quarter size and isolated damaging wind gusts, mainly across north central and central Kansas. Additional thunderstorms are expected to develop west of Concordia and move into the area this evening, primarily impacting north central and portions of northeast Kansas. Some of the storms could be severe with large hail and damaging wind gusts. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Friday through Wednesday. Severe thunderstorms may develop Friday afternoon and evening, mainly in northeast and east central Kansas. Additional, scattered severe thunderstorms will move northeast into the region Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. Very large hail, damaging wind gusts, and tornadoes are possible with these storms on both days. Locally heavy rainfall amounts could result from these multiple rounds of thunderstorms. South to southwest winds sustained near 30 MPH with gusts up to 50 MPH are possible Friday afternoon. SPOTTER MESSAGE Spotters should not be needed today or tonight.
