Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Kansas
Based on observations at 700pm CDT, Friday April 26, 2024

Across Kansas...temperatures are near 70 degrees west, near 81 degrees central, and near 74 degrees east. Current sky conditions are mostly sunny west, mostly sunny central, and partly sunny east. In the west, relative humidity is near 37%, and the dew point is near 43 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 30%, and the dew point is near 47 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 42%, and the dew point is near 50 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 14 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the west at 15 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the west at 23 mph with gusts at 36 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 86 degrees at Medicine Lodge. The lowest temperature is 70 degrees at Olathe Exe and Goodland.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time. 

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday

Severe storms are possible on Saturday. There is also the potential
for localized flooding where training thunderstorms occur.

Thunderstorm chances may linger across far southeast Kansas on
Sunday. Additional storm chances are possible Tuesday and
Wednesday.

An unusually strong occluded front swept out of the Gulf of Alaska and
produced the first April thunderstorm of record at Fairbanks. Pea size hail
fell northeast of Fairbanks from thunderstorms whose tops were less than

Severe thunderstorms associated with an intense cyclone spawned a total of
forty-seven tornadoes in two days from Louisiana to Upper Michigan. The
