Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Kansas
Based on observations at 700pm CDT, Thursday April 18, 2024

Across Kansas...temperatures are near 45 degrees west, near 59 degrees central, and near 57 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, mostly sunny central, and sunny east. In the west, relative humidity is near 43%, and the dew point is near 24 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 45%, and the dew point is near 38 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 30%, and the dew point is near 26 degrees. Winds are from the north at 16 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the north at 20 mph with gusts at 32 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the north at 18 mph with gusts at 26 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 63 degrees at Medicine Lodge. The lowest temperature is 45 degrees at Goodland.

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight
 
 A complex of strong thunderstorms is working their way eastward
between I-70 and US-36. These storms have moved into a less favorable
environment; however, gusty winds and some hail remain possible.
Further showers and thunderstorms are expected until early afternoon
as a cold front moves through the area. Some isolated stronger storms
are possible south of US-50 and MO HWY 2.
