Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Kansas
Based on observations at 200pm CDT, Thursday April 25, 2024

Across Kansas...temperatures are near 79 degrees west, near 62 degrees central, and near 57 degrees east. Current sky conditions are mostly sunny west, cloudy central, and light rain east. In the west, relative humidity is near 48%, and the dew point is near 58 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 100%, and the dew point is near 62 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 89%, and the dew point is near 54 degrees. There is patchy fog central. Winds are from the southeast at 23 mph with gusts at 32 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 16 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 24 mph with gusts at 39 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and light rain. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 84 degrees at Garden City. The lowest temperature is 53 degrees at Olathe Ind and Olathe Exe.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For MCPHERSON County,KS

1221 PM CDT Thu Apr 25 2024

 DAY ONE  This Afternoon and Tonight

Strong to marginally severe storms are possible for southeast Kansas
this afternoon.

A second round of strong to severe storms are possible for tonight 
mainly across central Kansas. Main concerns will be up to quarter-
sized hail and 60 mph winds. A tornado cannot be ruled out west of 
US-281 early tonight.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday

A conditional risk of isolated severe storms exists Friday 
afternoon along and east of the Flint Hills.

Very high grassland fire danger is expected on Friday across
central and portions of south-central Kansas.

Another round of strong to severe storms will be possible on
Saturday. There is also the potential for localized flooding where
training thunderstorms occur.

Thunderstorm chances may linger across far southeast Kansas on
Sunday. Additional storm chances are possible Tuesday evening.

 SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT  

Spotter activation is not anticipated this afternoon or tonight.
