Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Kansas
Based on observations at 300pm CDT, Thursday April 25, 2024

Across Kansas...temperatures are near 84 degrees west, near 64 degrees central, and near 59 degrees east. Current sky conditions are mostly sunny west, cloudy central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 34%, and the dew point is near 53 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 100%, and the dew point is near 64 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 87%, and the dew point is near 55 degrees. There is patchy fog central. Winds are from the southeast at 17 mph with gusts at 29 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the east at 9 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southeast at 25 mph with gusts at 37 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 85 degrees at Garden City and Elkhart. The lowest temperature is 52 degrees at Olathe Exe.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For LANE County,KS

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight

Severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and tonight. Very
large hail is possible with the strongest storms, and possibly a
tornado.

Near critical fire weather conditions are forecast for extreme
southwest Kansas today. See the latest fire weather message
(TOPRFWDDC) for details.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday

Severe thunderstorms are expected Saturday afternoon and evening
over south central Kansas. Very large hail is possible with the 
strongest storms, and possibly a tornado.

Critical fire weather conditions are forecast for much of 
southwest Kansas for Saturday. Strong southwest winds and low
humidity are forecast.
