Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Kansas
Based on observations at 1000am CDT, Friday March 29, 2024

Across Kansas...temperatures are near 50 degrees west, near 59 degrees central, and near 59 degrees east. Current sky conditions are sunny west, cloudy central, and mostly sunny east. In the west, relative humidity is near 42%, and the dew point is near 28 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 69%, and the dew point is near 49 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 59%, and the dew point is near 45 degrees. Winds are from the north at 17 mph with gusts at 33 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the south at 18 mph with gusts at 30 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the south at 17 mph with gusts at 25 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 65 degrees at Chanute. The lowest temperature is 50 degrees at Goodland.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday

Confidence is increasing for near critical fire weather 
conditions on Sunday, with a combination of relative humidity 
lower than 20 percent and gusty winds commonly to 35 mph or 
higher. Open fires can quickly escape and are very difficult to 
control, even for experienced fire fighters. 

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
