Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Kansas
Based on observations at 1200pm CDT, Tuesday April 16, 2024

Across Kansas...temperatures are near 50 degrees west, near 73 degrees central, and near 73 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, sunny central, and sunny east. In the west, relative humidity is near 80%, and the dew point is near 44 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 31%, and the dew point is near 41 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 30%, and the dew point is near 40 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 37 mph with gusts at 52 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southwest at 23 mph with gusts at 37 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the south at 16 mph with gusts at 33 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 79 degrees at Lawrence. The lowest temperature is 50 degrees at Goodland.

Intense northwest winds are expected midday and early afternoon
Tuesday, with gusts as high as 60 mph across the northwest zones. 
Areas of blowing dust and difficult travel are expected.
