Current sky conditions are cloudy west, cloudy central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 100%, and the dew point is near 58 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 96%, and the dew point is near 56 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 77%, and the dew point is near 55 degrees. Winds are from the north at 10 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southeast at 17 mph with gusts at 33 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 29 mph with gusts at 46 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Very large hail is possible with the strongest storms, and possibly a tornado. Near critical fire weather conditions are forecast for extreme southwest Kansas today. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Friday through Wednesday Severe thunderstorms are expected Saturday afternoon and evening over south central Kansas. Very large hail is possible with the strongest storms, and possibly a tornado. Critical fire weather conditions are forecast for much of southwest Kansas for Saturday. Strong southwest winds and low humidity are forecast. SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT Storm spotters will likely be needed this afternoon and evening.
