Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Kansas
Based on observations at 1100am CDT, Tuesday April 23, 2024

Across Kansas...temperatures are near 60 degrees west, near 64 degrees central, and near 70 degrees east. Current sky conditions are sunny west, partly sunny central, and mostly sunny east. In the west, relative humidity is near 28%, and the dew point is near 27 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 60%, and the dew point is near 50 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 24%, and the dew point is near 32 degrees. Winds are from the northeast at 17 mph with gusts at 25 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are calm central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northeast at 21 mph with gusts at 29 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 70 degrees at Medicine Lodge and Concordia. The lowest temperature is 60 degrees at Olathe Exe and Goodland.

Thursday, a multi-hazard system could impact the area. The most
likely threat would be severe weather with a chance for severe 
storms across most of the area. All severe hazards would be possible,
but large hail would be the main threat. The other possible hazards 
with the system include critical fire weather, blowing dust, and high
winds, though confidence is low in these hazards at this time.
