Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Kansas
Based on observations at 900am CDT, Friday March 29, 2024

Across Kansas...temperatures are near 43 degrees west, near 54 degrees central, and near 47 degrees east. Current sky conditions are partly sunny west, partly sunny central, and mostly sunny east. In the west, relative humidity is near 55%, and the dew point is near 28 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 77%, and the dew point is near 47 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 80%, and the dew point is near 41 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 10 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the south at 14 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 5 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 63 degrees at Chanute. The lowest temperature is 43 degrees at Goodland.

Confidence is increasing for near critical fire weather 
conditions on Sunday, with a combination of relative humidity 
lower than 20 percent and gusty winds commonly to 35 mph or 
higher. Open fires can quickly escape and are very difficult to 
control, even for experienced fire fighters. 

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
