Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Kansas
Based on observations at 800am CDT, Friday March 29, 2024

Across Kansas...temperatures are near 37 degrees west, near 52 degrees central, and near 41 degrees east. Current sky conditions are partly cloudy west, partly cloudy central, and clear east. In the west, relative humidity is near 61%, and the dew point is near 25 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 80%, and the dew point is near 46 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 89%, and the dew point is near 38 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 12 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The wind chill is near 29 degrees west. Winds are from the south at 15 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the east at 5 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 59 degrees at Coffeyville. The lowest temperature is 36 degrees at Garden City.

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected  

  Elevated non thunderstorm wind risk.
  Elevated fire weather risk.

DISCUSSION  

Gusty southwest winds of 40 to 50 mph will occur today near and 
west of the I-49 corridor. Gusts of 30 to 40 mph will occur across
the remainder of the Missouri Ozarks.

Elevated fire weather conditions will occur this afternoon across
all of the Missouri Ozarks and southeast Kansas.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday.

Thunderstorms, possibly strong to severe, will be possible Sunday
and especially on Monday. Locally heavy rainfall is also 
possible.

 SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT  

  Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
