Across Indiana...temperatures are near 48 degrees north, near 57 degrees central, and near 61 degrees south. Current sky conditions are mostly sunny north, mostly sunny central, and sunny south. In the north, relative humidity is near 44%, and the dew point is near 27 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 35%, and the dew point is near 30 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 31%, and the dew point is near 30 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 10 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southwest at 14 mph with gusts at 24 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southwest at 9 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 61 degrees at Evansville. The lowest temperature is CLOUDY degrees at Warsaw.

 DAY ONE  Tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday.

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible this 
weekend. Storm chances increase late Monday and through Tuesday. 
Strong to severe storms will be possible Monday night and continuing
into Tuesday. Confidence is low due to the complexity of the 
incoming systems and the exact timing of various features, so stay 
tuned to the forecast as it is updated over the next few days.

Thane Creek AK reported a snow cover of 190 inches. (The Weather Channel)

The worst tornado disaster of record occurred in Chicago IL as a tornado
killed 28 persons and caused three million dollars damage. (David Ludlum)
...1997...
Ten tornadoes tore across the area, affecting the Kentucky counties of 
Adair, Metcalfe, Casey, Green, Larue, Marion, Hardin, Hart, Nelson, and 
Russell; and the Indiana counties of Scott and Jefferson. Two of the 
twisters produced F3 damage. A 28-year-old woman was killed in Metcalfe 
County as she was thrown from her destroyed mobile home. A 40-year-old man 
was killed when his house in Bonnieville (Hart County) was hit by one of 
the F3 tornadoes and blown off its foundation. This tornado injured many 
people when it caused several car accidents as it crossed Interstate 65.
