Across Indiana...temperatures are near 41 degrees north, near 30 degrees central, and near 40 degrees south. Current sky conditions are fair north, snow central, and light rain south. In the north, relative humidity is near 35%, and the dew point is near 15 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 96%, and the dew point is near 29 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 100%, and the dew point is near 40 degrees. There is patchy fog south. Visibility is less than one mile central. Winds are from the east at 17 mph with gusts at 26 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the east at 17 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and snow. The wind chill is near 18 degrees central. Winds are from the east at 14 mph with gusts at 28 mph south, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and light rain. The wind chill is near 32 degrees south. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 41 degrees at Valparaiso, South Bend, Goshen, Fort Wayne, and Elkhart. The lowest temperature is FAIR degrees at Warsaw.

DAY ONE Today and Tonight.
Outlook: Wintry precipitation will slowly expand into the region
early this morning ahead of an approaching low pressure system. Snow
will become the primary precipitation type through the day with sleet
and rain occasionally mixing in at times.
Hazards: Slick and snow covered roads and surfaces will develop.
Visibilities will be drastically reduced within heavier snow.
Easterly wind gusts will peak at 30 to 35 mph. Travel may become
difficult throughout the day.
Timing: Through this evening.
Discussion: Low pressure and an associated upper level wave will
track across the region this afternoon and evening bringing a
significant late season winter storm to parts of central Indiana.
Precipitation will end tonight with high pressure building back into
the region by daybreak Sunday.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Sunday through Friday.
Outlook: A few thunderstorms are possible Monday night into Tuesday.
Gusty winds, heavy rain, and lightning are the main threats. Snow may
mix with rain Thursday night.
Discussion: Unsettled weather is expected for much of the upcoming
week as a slow moving frontal boundary comes into the Ohio Valley.

HISTORIC WEATHER EVENTS
...1910...Louisville's warmest March temperature: 88 degrees.
...1912...Residents of Kansas City began to dig out from a
storm produced 25 inches of snow in 24 hours. The snowfall
total was nearly twice that of any other storm of modern
record in Kansas City before or since that time. A record 40
inches of snow fell during the month of March that year, and
the total for the winter season of 67 inches was also a
record. By late February of that year Kansas City had
received just six inches of snow. Olathe KS received 37
inches of snow in the snowstorm, establishing a single storm

...1921...Near Stamping Ground (Scott County, Ky) a tornado
(unofficially F2) killed horses and cattle as it destroyed
