Weather Summary For Central And Southeast Illinois

Cirrus clouds moved across western Illinois this evening, as a
band of rainfall slid through eastern Missouri. Temperatures late
evening were beginning to fall into the 60s.

The dry and seasonable weather pattern will continue through the
remainder of this week and into the weekend. As High pressure
slides toward the East Coast this weekend, temperatures will climb
back into the upper 80s to near 90 by Sunday.

Lows tonight will drop into the mid 50s to mid 60s. Highs Thursday
will peak in the upper 70s across northeast Indiana, increasing
southwest to the mid 80s in Missouri.

Across Illinois...temperatures are near 47 degrees north, near 52 degrees central, and near 62 degrees south. Current sky conditions are partly cloudy north, cloudy central, and rain south. In the north, relative humidity is near 90%, and the dew point is near 44 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 50 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 96%, and the dew point is near 61 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 8 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the north at 20 mph with gusts at 30 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are variable at 3 mph south, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to rain. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 70 degrees at Metropolis. The lowest temperature is 10/ degrees at Northerly Island.
