Cirrus clouds moved across western Illinois this evening, as a
band of rainfall slid through eastern Missouri. Temperatures late
evening were beginning to fall into the 60s.

The dry and seasonable weather pattern will continue through the
remainder of this week and into the weekend. As High pressure
slides toward the East Coast this weekend, temperatures will climb
back into the upper 80s to near 90 by Sunday.

Lows tonight will drop into the mid 50s to mid 60s. Highs Thursday
will peak in the upper 70s across northeast Indiana, increasing
southwest to the mid 80s in Missouri.

Across Illinois...temperatures are near 43 degrees north, near 54 degrees central, and near 55 degrees south. Current sky conditions are partly sunny north, sunny central, and sunny south. In the north, relative humidity is near 51%, and the dew point is near 26 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 45%, and the dew point is near 33 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 47%, and the dew point is near 35 degrees. Winds are from the west at 9 mph with gusts at 17 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southwest at 18 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the south at 10 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 260/ degrees at Northerly Island. The lowest temperature is 39 degrees at Freeport.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For SCHUYLER County,IL

 DAY ONE  Today and tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday.

Occasional thunderstorms are possible Friday night through Tuesday. A
few strong thunderstorms with hail are possible Friday night mainly
north of I-72, but chances of 1 inch or larger hail are around 5
percent or less. Higher chances for severe weather including locally
damaging wind gusts, large hail, and a threat of a few tornadoes look
to develop Sunday evening into Tuesday afternoon, highest Monday
afternoon or evening. Locally heavy rainfall is possible as well,
mainly Monday into Monday night.

Temperatures will cool off again starting Tuesday night, and there 
is a 30 to 50 percent chance of freezing temperatures Tuesday night 
and Wednesday night that could damage sensitive early season 
vegetation.

Thane Creek AK reported a snow cover of 190 inches. (The Weather Channel)

The worst tornado disaster of record occurred in Chicago IL as a tornado
killed 28 persons and caused three million dollars damage. (David Ludlum)
...1997...
Ten tornadoes tore across the area, affecting the Kentucky counties of 
Adair, Metcalfe, Casey, Green, Larue, Marion, Hardin, Hart, Nelson, and 
Russell; and the Indiana counties of Scott and Jefferson. Two of the 
twisters produced F3 damage. A 28-year-old woman was killed in Metcalfe 
County as she was thrown from her destroyed mobile home. A 40-year-old man 
was killed when his house in Bonnieville (Hart County) was hit by one of 
the F3 tornadoes and blown off its foundation. This tornado injured many 
people when it caused several car accidents as it crossed Interstate 65.
