Current sky conditions are cloudy north, partly cloudy central, and clear south. In the north, relative humidity is near 51%, and the dew point is near 14 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 71%, and the dew point is near 20 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 89%, and the dew point is near 19 degrees. Winds are from the southwest at 13 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. The wind chill is near 20 degrees north. A hard freeze is expected tonight across all of central and southeast Illinois. Temperatures will drop into the middle to upper 20s across the area. Precautions should be taken to protect sensitive vegetation. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Tuesday through Sunday. West-southwest winds will gust 35 to 45 mph mid morning through early afternoon on Tuesday, then turn to northwesterly and gradually ease through the evening. This, combined with 25 to 35 percent relative humidities, will lead to increased fire danger so those planning to burn should use caution.
