Cirrus clouds moved across western Illinois this evening, as a
band of rainfall slid through eastern Missouri. Temperatures late
evening were beginning to fall into the 60s.

The dry and seasonable weather pattern will continue through the
remainder of this week and into the weekend. As High pressure
slides toward the East Coast this weekend, temperatures will climb
back into the upper 80s to near 90 by Sunday.

Lows tonight will drop into the mid 50s to mid 60s. Highs Thursday
will peak in the upper 70s across northeast Indiana, increasing
southwest to the mid 80s in Missouri.

Across Illinois...temperatures are near 56 degrees north, near 69 degrees central, and near 77 degrees south. Current sky conditions are cloudy north, clear central, and clear south. In the north, relative humidity is near 66%, and the dew point is near 45 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 48%, and the dew point is near 49 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 37%, and the dew point is near 49 degrees. Winds are from the west at 14 mph with gusts at 25 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the west at 14 mph with gusts at 21 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are variable at 3 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 260/ degrees at Northerly Island. The lowest temperature is 55 degrees at Rochelle, Freeport, and De Kalb.

There is a chance for thunderstorms across parts of northeast
Missouri and west central Illinois late tonight.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Thursday through Tuesday.

Thunderstorms are likely on Thursday across most of the area. Some 
of the thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and early evening may be
severe, capable of producing damaging winds, large hail, and a
tornado or two.

There is a chance of thunderstorms over parts of the area on Monday
night and Tuesday.
