Mostly clear skies prevailed through the overnight hours. 
Temperatures overnight fell into the mid to upper 70s across 
central and southern Illinois.

Hot and humid conditions will continue today. Heat index values
of 100 to 105 degree are expected. A frontal boundary will slowly
drift into northern Illinois this afternoon, bringing a chance of
showers and thunderstorms to central and northern Illinois this 
afternoon into tonight. Chances for showers and thunderstorms will
continue through the week.

High temperatures today will reach the low to mid 90s across the
Midwest. Low temperatures tonight will range from the low 60s
across northern Illinois, to the mid 70s across central and
southern Illinois.
