Weather Summary For Central And Southeast Illinois

High pressure built into the central U.S. on Wednesday, providing
sunny skies and cool air to central and southeast Illinois. High
temperatures reached the middle to upper 40s.

A fast moving disturbance will track southeast from Iowa into
southern Illinois on Thursday, bringing a chance for scattered
rain showers. A larger storm system will begin to impact the
Midwest on Friday, and linger into Saturday. Strong low pressure
will spread rain and snow across the region. Several inches of
snow accumulation is possible from northeast Iowa, southeast into
portions of northern Illinois, and Indiana, for Friday night and 
Saturday. Farther south, rain totals in excess of one inch are 
possible, for central and southern Illinois.

Low temperatures tonight will drop into the mid 20s to mid 30s
across the Midwest. Highs on Thursday will range from the mid 40s
in northern Indiana, to the lower 60s in central Missouri.
