Current sky conditions are light rain west, cloudy central, and sunny east. In the west, relative humidity is near 74%, and the dew point is near 47 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 63%, and the dew point is near 43 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 46%, and the dew point is near 30 degrees. Winds are from the south at 12 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to light rain. Winds are from the southeast at 18 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. The lowest temperature is 49 degrees at Dubuque and Clinton.

While there could be small hail, severe weather chances are very low. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Friday through Wednesday Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will each feature the chance of strong to severe storms over some or all of central Iowa. Friday's threats include a few tornadoes, large hail, and strong wind gusts, primarily later in the afternoon into the evening. Isolated heavy rainfall may also occur. Saturday's main threats include large hail and damaging wind gusts with locally heavy rainfall also possible. Tornadoes cannot be ruled out, but are not the primary threat at this time.
