Current sky conditions are mostly cloudy west, cloudy central, and mostly cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 97%, and the dew point is near 55 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 83%, and the dew point is near 58 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 83%, and the dew point is near 58 degrees. There is thunder central. Winds are from the southeast at 6 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southeast at 20 mph with gusts at 26 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the south at 14 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 66 degrees at Lamoni and Clarinda. The lowest temperature is 52 degrees at Mason City.

US Radar, All NWS Radars (In near-real time), Current Livestock Heat Stress Index (LSI), Current Wind Chill Map Hazardous Weather Outlook For SCOTT County,IA 314 PM CDT Fri Apr 26 2024 DAY ONE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT Gusty southeast winds will continue into the early evening, occasionally reaching 35 to 45 mph. Tonight, scattered thunderstorms are possible. A few of the storms could produce large hail to around quarter size and damaging winds to 60 mph. The Storm Prediction Center has much of the Outlook area in a level 1 out of 5, or Marginal risk for severe weather, with a level 2 out of 5, or Slight risk for portions of eastern Iowa and northeast Missouri. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY Additional rounds of thunderstorms are expected late Saturday afternoon through Sunday. Severe weather will be possible with large hail and damaging winds the main threats. Tornadoes cannot be ruled out, but they appear to be a lower threat at this time. The rounds of heavy rainfall could eventually lead to some flooding issues as well. The Storm Prediction Center has the entire Outlook area in a Slight risk, or level 2 out of 5 for Saturday. On Sunday, a Slight risk covers much of the area along and south of Interstate 80, with a Marginal risk to the north.
