Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Georgia
Based on observations at 500am EDT, Friday March 29, 2024

Across Georgia...temperatures are near 46 degrees north, near 40 degrees central, and near 44 degrees south. Current sky conditions are clear north, clear central, and clear south. In the north, relative humidity is near 53%, and the dew point is near 30 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 86%, and the dew point is near 36 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 79%, and the dew point is near 38 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 5 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the west at 7 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are calm south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 54 degrees at Saint Simons and Hunter AFB. The lowest temperature is 36 degrees at LaGrange and Dalton.

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight  

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

Areas of frost are possible across extreme northeast Georgia, and
a Frost Advisory is in effect for early this morning. Patchy 
frost is possible across other areas of north Georgia, but 
coverage and duration is not expected to warrant an advisory at 
this time. 

A Fire Danger Statement is in effect this afternoon and early 
evening across much of north and central Georgia due to low 
relative humidity, breezy conditions, and dry fuels.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday  

Showers and thunderstorms are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday, a
few storms could become strong with gusty winds, heavy rainfall,
and frequent lightning.
