Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Georgia
Based on observations at 600pm EDT, Friday April 19, 2024

Across Georgia...temperatures are near 83 degrees north, near 86 degrees central, and near 88 degrees south. Current sky conditions are partly sunny north, mostly sunny central, and sunny south. In the north, relative humidity is near 49%, and the dew point is near 62 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 47%, and the dew point is near 64 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 48%, and the dew point is near 66 degrees. The heat index is near 90 degrees south. Winds are from the southwest at 14 mph with gusts at 21 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the west at 9 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are variable at 3 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 88 degrees at Waycross, Vidalia, Valdosta, Robins AFB, Augusta (Daniels), and Alma. The lowest temperature is 79 degrees at Saint Simons and Dalton.

 DAY ONE  This Afternoon and Tonight  

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon 
and tonight along and north of a line from Columbus to Macon. 
Strong storms will be possible along with an isolated severe 
thunderstorm. The primary threats will be gusty winds, large hail,
and periods of heavy rainfall are possible in any storms that 
form.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday  

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible Saturday and  
Sunday. No severe storms are anticipated at this time.
