Across Georgia...temperatures are near 65 degrees north, near 69 degrees central, and near 71 degrees south. Current sky conditions are sunny north, sunny central, and clear south. In the north, relative humidity is near 22%, and the dew point is near 25 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 22%, and the dew point is near 29 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 47%, and the dew point is near 50 degrees. Winds are from the north at 15 mph with gusts at 26 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the northwest at 16 mph with gusts at 22 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the northwest at 9 mph with gusts at 21 mph south, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 73 degrees at Bainbridge. The lowest temperature is 62 degrees at Chamblee.

 DAY ONE  This Afternoon and Tonight  

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

A Fire Danger Statement is in effect this afternoon and early 
evening across much of north and central Georgia due to low 
relative humidity, breezy conditions, and dry fuels.

Areas of frost are possible across extreme northeast Georgia, and
a Frost Advisory is in effect for that area late tonight and early
Friday morning. Patchy frost is possible across other areas of
north Georgia, but coverage and duration is not expected to
warrant an advisory at this time. 

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday  

A chance for showers and thunderstorms is expected on Tuesday and
Wednesday.

 SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT

Thane Creek AK reported a snow cover of 190 inches. (The Weather Channel)

The worst tornado disaster of record occurred in Chicago IL as a tornado
killed 28 persons and caused three million dollars damage. (David Ludlum)

Ten tornadoes tore across the area, affecting the Kentucky counties of 
Adair, Metcalfe, Casey, Green, Larue, Marion, Hardin, Hart, Nelson, and 
Russell; and the Indiana counties of Scott and Jefferson. Two of the 
twisters produced F3 damage. A 28-year-old woman was killed in Metcalfe 
County as she was thrown from her destroyed mobile home. A 40-year-old man 
was killed when his house in Bonnieville (Hart County) was hit by one of 
the F3 tornadoes and blown off its foundation. This tornado injured many 
people when it caused several car accidents as it crossed Interstate 65.
