Large area of rain over eastern/southern counties in our forecast 
area will shift eastward offshore during the nest 2-3 hours, with
gradual clearing from west to east across forecast area. Current
forecast high temperatures look good based on expected midday/
early afternoon clearing. Made some adjustments to hourly POP/
weather grids, with no other changes planned in update.

Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Florida
Based on observations at 900am EDT, Thursday March 28, 2024

Across Florida...temperatures are near 59 degrees north, near 73 degrees central, and near 79 degrees south. Current sky conditions are sunny north, partly sunny central, and cloudy south. In the north, relative humidity is near 69%, and the dew point is near 49 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 71 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 82%, and the dew point is near 73 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 10 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the south at 9 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the south at 12 mph with gusts at 25 mph south, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 79 degrees at Key West Nas and Ft Lauder-Exec. The lowest temperature is RAIN degrees at Jax Nas.

The worst tornado disaster of record occurred in Chicago IL as a tornado
killed 28 persons and caused three million dollars damage. (David Ludlum)
...1997...
Ten tornadoes tore across the area, affecting the Kentucky counties of 
Adair, Metcalfe, Casey, Green, Larue, Marion, Hardin, Hart, Nelson, and 
Russell; and the Indiana counties of Scott and Jefferson. Two of the 
twisters produced F3 damage. A 28-year-old woman was killed in Metcalfe 
County as she was thrown from her destroyed mobile home. A 40-year-old man 
was killed when his house in Bonnieville (Hart County) was hit by one of 
the F3 tornadoes and blown off its foundation. This tornado injured many 
people when it caused several car accidents as it crossed Interstate 65.
