.KEY MESSAGES...

- Accumulating snow and minor travel impacts across the northern
  mountains tonight through Friday night. More significant
  accumulations in the Rabbit Ears Pass and Park Range, and
  lighter accumulations in the I-70 Mountain Corridor. 

- A few showers spill onto the plains Friday afternoon and Friday
  night.

- Next storm system late Sunday into Monday night with mountain
  snow, and a mix of rain and snow likely for the plains. Mostly 
  light but there could be some impact for the mountains and 
  foothills.

Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Colorado
Based on observations at 1000pm MDT, Thursday March 28, 2024

Across Colorado...temperatures are near 56 degrees west, near 48 degrees central, and near 46 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, fair central, and fair east. In the west, relative humidity is near 30%, and the dew point is near 25 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 35%, and the dew point is near 22 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 49%, and the dew point is near 28 degrees. Winds are calm west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are calm central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are calm east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 56 degrees at LA JUNTA and GRAND JUNCTION. The lowest temperature is 25 degrees at MONARCH PASS.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For UPPER PURGATOIRE County,CO

 DAY ONE  This Evening and Tonight

Snow showers are expected over the mountains later this evening 
and overnight. Showers will increase in coverage during the 
overnight hours, with the most widespread snow over the western
slopes of the central mountains. Snow could be moderate to heavy
at times, especially through mountain passes.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday

Moderate to heavy at time snowfall is expected over the western
slopes of the central mountains late tonight and into Friday,
where 5 to 10 inches of of wind driven snow is expected by
Saturday morning. Travel could be dangerous at times, especially 
through mountain passes!

Critical fire weather conditions are expected each afternoon 
through Sunday, with greatest certainty over the far southeast 
plains. Please avoid actions that could start a fire this weekend!

Mountain snow is expected to pick up on Sunday and last through at
least Tuesday. There still exists some uncertainty with the
incoming system, but there is also the chance for some wintry
weather across parts of the lower elevations.
