Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Colorado
Based on observations at 100am MDT, Friday April 26, 2024

Across Colorado...temperatures are near 56 degrees west, near 47 degrees central, and near 57 degrees east. Current sky conditions are mostly cloudy west, light rain central, and fair east. In the west, relative humidity is near 37%, and the dew point is near 30 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 90%, and the dew point is near 44 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 62%, and the dew point is near 44 degrees. Winds are from the south at 5 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southeast at 3 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to light rain. Winds are from the north at 17 mph with gusts at 26 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 57 degrees at LAMAR. The lowest temperature is 21 degrees at WOLF CREEK PAS.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For PROWERS County,CO

 DAY ONE  This Afternoon and Tonight

Winds gusting up to 50 mph, combined with hot and very dry
conditions, will produce high fire danger across portions of 
southern Colorado this afternoon.

Additionally, there is a low risk of a strong to severe storm or two 
across the far eastern plains this afternoon into early evening, 
mainly along and east of a Haswell to Lamar line. If severe storms 
develop, hail to the size of quarters and 60 mph wind gusts would be 
possible.

Snow will return to the higher elevations of the Continental
Divide tonight, with 2 to 4 inches of new snow possible,
especially across the peaks of the central mountains and the
eastern San Juan Mountains.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday

An upper level system will start impacting our area on Friday,
lasting through the weekend. Cooler temperatures, heavy and wet
mountain snow, and showers and storms over the plains will all be
possible.

be possible over portions of the region.
