.KEY MESSAGES...

- Accumulating snow and minor travel impacts across the northern
  mountains tonight through Friday night. More significant
  accumulations in the Rabbit Ears Pass and Park Range, and
  lighter accumulations in the I-70 Mountain Corridor. 

- A few showers spill onto the plains Friday afternoon and Friday
  night.

- Next storm system late Sunday into Monday night with mountain
  snow, and a mix of rain and snow likely for the plains. Mostly 
  light but there could be some impact for the mountains and 
  foothills.

Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Colorado
Based on observations at 1100pm MDT, Thursday March 28, 2024

Across Colorado...temperatures are near 54 degrees west, near 46 degrees central, and near 42 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, mostly cloudy central, and fair east. In the west, relative humidity is near 35%, and the dew point is near 27 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 40%, and the dew point is near 23 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 67%, and the dew point is near 32 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 10 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southeast at 5 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southwest at 6 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 54 degrees at LA JUNTA and GRAND JUNCTION. The lowest temperature is 25 degrees at MONARCH PASS.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For MIDDLE PARK County,CO

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight

Snow showers will increase across the northern mountains this
evening and spread southward to the I-70 Mountain Corridor and
Summit County overnight. Snowfall accumulations will be highest 
over the Park Range and Rabbit Ears Pass where some travel impacts
will be possible starting late this evening. Accumulations of 3 
to 6 inches are expected overnight near the northern border, with 
lighter amounts elsewhere.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday

Periods of snow showers are expected over the high country 
through Sunday. The snow will mostly be light. Scattered light 
rain showers will occur across the plains north of I-76 at times,
mainly Friday evening.

Another weather system will bring snow to the mountains Sunday 
and Monday, with a mixture of rain and snow likely along the I-25 
corridor Sunday night into Monday. The plains will most likely see
rain with this system with some snow possible mainly north of 
Interstate 76. Overall, precipitation is expected to be light. 
There is a chance of a period of heavy snow in the Front Range 
mountains and foothills Sunday night into Monday morning.
