Current sky conditions are fair west, flurries central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 29%, and the dew point is near 22 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 85%, and the dew point is near 31 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 47%, and the dew point is near 24 degrees. Winds are calm west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southeast at 12 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to flurries. The wind chill is near 27 degrees central. Winds are from the southeast at 10 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 53 degrees at GRAND JUNCTION. The lowest temperature is 25 degrees at CRAIG.
US Radar, All NWS Radars (In near-real time), Current Livestock Heat Stress Index (LSI), Current Wind Chill Map Hazardous Weather Outlook For LAMAR VICINITY County,CO 401 AM MDT Fri Apr 19 2024 DAY ONE Today and Tonight Critical fire weather conditions are expected over the San Luis Valley this afternoon due to strong gusty west to southwest winds and low humidity values. Some light snow will be possible over the central mountains, and the Pikes Peak region from late this afternoon into the evening hours. one to 4 inches of snow will be possible over the higher elevations. A dusting to an inch of snow will be possible over the higher elevations in northern El Paso county. A few rumbles of thunder will be possible over the mountains this afternoon. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Saturday through Thursday Light precipitation is expected through much of Saturday, with more widespread light precipitation during the morning, and more rain/snow showers during the afternoon and evening. Snow is expected along the mountains, with mostly rain expected for lower elevations. Any snow accumulations will be minor, with around and less than 0.5 inch of snow expected. Isolated light showers will be possible Sunday through Wednesday across the region, especially along the mountains, with precipitation chances increasing again Thursday for much of the area.
