Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Colorado
Based on observations at 500am MDT, Wednesday May 08, 2024

Across Colorado...temperatures are near 32 degrees west, near 40 degrees central, and near 34 degrees east. Current sky conditions are fair west, fair central, and fair east. In the west, relative humidity is near 51%, and the dew point is near 16 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 32%, and the dew point is near 12 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 56%, and the dew point is near 20 degrees. The livestock heat stress category is no stress west, no stress central, and no stress east. Winds are calm west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the west at 20 mph with gusts at 31 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southwest at 6 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The wind chill is near 29 degrees east. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 42 degrees at FORT CARSON. The lowest temperature is 10 degrees at SUNLIGHT.

 DAY ONE  Today and tonight.

Light snow showers and isolated afternoon thunderstorms are expected
over the northern mountains and along the northern Utah/Colorado
borders. Additional accumulations will be light and localized.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Thursday through Tuesday.

Cool and unsettled weather will linger through the remainder of the
week, with a series of disturbances keeping chances of light 
mountain showers in the forecast most afternoons. The focus for
mountain snow shifts to the southern mountains during the remainder
of the week.
