.KEY MESSAGES...

- Accumulating snow and minor travel impacts across the northern
  mountains tonight through Friday night. More significant
  accumulations in the Rabbit Ears Pass and Park Range, and
  lighter accumulations in the I-70 Mountain Corridor. 

- A few showers spill onto the plains Friday afternoon and Friday
  night.

- Next storm system late Sunday into Monday night with mountain
  snow, and a mix of rain and snow likely for the plains. Mostly 
  light but there could be some impact for the mountains and 
  foothills.

Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Colorado
Based on observations at 1200am MDT, Friday March 29, 2024

Across Colorado...temperatures are near 52 degrees west, near 38 degrees central, and near 39 degrees east. Current sky conditions are fair west, mostly cloudy central, and fair east. In the west, relative humidity is near 41%, and the dew point is near 29 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 55%, and the dew point is near 23 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 70%, and the dew point is near 30 degrees. Winds are calm west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southeast at 13 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the west at 6 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 53 degrees at FORT CARSON. The lowest temperature is 25 degrees at WOLF CREEK PAS and MONARCH PASS.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For ELKHEAD County,CO

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight

Snow showers will build over the northern and a few central high
mountain ranges through the late morning and afternoon hours. Snow
will become more widespread across the north tonight as a cold
front arrives with support from aloft. There is a low probability
(>30%) of amounts over a foot through early Tuesday but travel is
likely to be impacted over the northern passes. An isolated
thunderstorm can not be ruled out tonight. 

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday

Mountain snow and a mix of valley rain and snow will be possible
each day from late tomorrow afternoon through Tuesday. The
arrival of the next bigger storm looks to be Sunday into Monday.  
Overall significant accumulations will occur in the mountains 
through this timeframe but the main impacts will continue to be 
during the overnight hours when snow will accumulate on roadways. 
Isolated thunderstorm development will be possible in the 
afternoons as well.

 SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT  

Spotter activation will not be needed today but any reports will
be welcome.
