Current sky conditions are partly sunny west, fair central, and fair east. In the west, relative humidity is near 21%, and the dew point is near 29 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 47%, and the dew point is near 46 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 11%, and the dew point is near 28 degrees. Winds are from the west at 15 mph with gusts at 21 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the east at 8 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the south at 21 mph with gusts at 31 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 89 degrees at LAMAR. The lowest temperature is 36 degrees at WOLF CREEK PAS.
US Radar, All NWS Radars (In near-real time), Current Livestock Heat Stress Index (LSI), Current Wind Chill Map Hazardous Weather Outlook For CROWLEY, OTERO County,CO 1145 AM MDT Thu Apr 25 2024 DAY ONE This Afternoon and Tonight Winds gusting up to 50 mph, combined with hot and very dry conditions, will produce high fire danger across portions of southern Colorado this afternoon. Additionally, there is a low risk of a strong to severe storm or two across the far eastern plains this afternoon into early evening, mainly along and east of a Haswell to Lamar line. If severe storms develop, hail to the size of quarters and 60 mph wind gusts would be possible. Snow will return to the higher elevations of the Continental Divide tonight, with 2 to 4 inches of new snow possible, especially across the peaks of the central mountains and the eastern San Juan Mountains. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Friday through Wednesday An upper level system will start impacting our area on Friday, lasting through the weekend. Cooler temperatures, heavy and wet mountain snow, and showers and storms over the plains will all be possible.
