.KEY MESSAGES...

- Accumulating snow and minor travel impacts across the northern
  mountains through Friday night. More significant accumulations 
  in the Rabbit Ears Pass and Park Range, and lighter 
  accumulations in the I-70 Mountain Corridor. 

- A few showers spill onto the plains today and tonight.

- Next storm system late Sunday into Monday night with mountain
  snow, and a mix of rain and snow likely for the plains. Mostly
  light precipitation amounts are expected but there could be some
  travel impacts for the mountains and higher elevation foothills.

Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Colorado
Based on observations at 500am MDT, Friday March 29, 2024

Across Colorado...temperatures are near 48 degrees west, near 38 degrees central, and near 30 degrees east. Current sky conditions are light rain west, mostly cloudy central, and fair east. In the west, relative humidity is near 60%, and the dew point is near 35 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 62%, and the dew point is near 26 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 88%, and the dew point is near 27 degrees. Winds are from the south at 7 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to light rain. Winds are from the northeast at 12 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southwest at 5 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The wind chill is near 25 degrees east. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 54 degrees at COLO. SPRINGS. The lowest temperature is 19 degrees at WOLF CREEK PAS.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For BOULDER County,CO

1101 AM MDT Thu Mar 28 2024

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight

Snow showers will increase across the northern mountains this
evening and spread southward to the I-70 Mountain Corridor and
Summit County overnight. Snowfall accumulations will be highest 
over the Park Range and Rabbit Ears Pass where some travel impacts
will be possible starting late this evening. Accumulations of 3 
to 6 inches are expected overnight near the northern border, with 
lighter amounts elsewhere.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday

Periods of snow showers are expected over the high country 
through Sunday. The snow will mostly be light. Scattered light 
rain showers will occur across the plains north of I-76 at times,
mainly Friday evening.

Another weather system will bring snow to the mountains Sunday 
and Monday, with a mixture of rain and snow likely along the I-25 
corridor Sunday night into Monday. The plains will most likely see
rain with this system with some snow possible mainly north of 
Interstate 76. Overall, precipitation is expected to be light. 
There is a chance of a period of heavy snow in the Front Range 
mountains and foothills Sunday night into Monday morning.
