Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Arkansas
Based on observations at 1200am CDT, Tuesday April 23, 2024

Across Arkansas...temperatures are near 54 degrees north, near 53 degrees central, and near 48 degrees south. Current sky conditions are mostly cloudy north, clear central, and clear south. In the north, relative humidity is near 46%, and the dew point is near 34 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 63%, and the dew point is near 41 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 89%, and the dew point is near 45 degrees. Winds are from the southwest at 7 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the south at 9 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are calm south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 60 degrees at Texarkana. The lowest temperature is 36 degrees at Mount Ida.

SIGNIFICANT WINDS.
RISK  Limited.
AREA  Northeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
ONSET  Ongoing  subsiding after sunset.

FIRE WEATHER DANGER.
RISK  Limited.
AREA  North and West of Tulsa.
ONSET  Ongoing  ending after sunset.

DISCUSSION  
Gusty south to southwest winds 25 to 35 mph and dry air in place 
over the region is yielding a limited fire weather danger to the 
north and west of Tulsa this afternoon. Conditions will improve 
after sunset this evening.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION  
An active weather pattern is expected to evolve over the coming
days, resulting in several rounds of strong to severe storm
potential and locally heavy rainfall for the middle to latter 
half of the work week on into the weekend. Storm chances ramp up
Tuesday night and will peak during the Friday and Saturday time
frame, where the highest chance of severe weather exists as well.
Depending on how things evolve in the coming days, there is
potential for higher-end, high-impact severe weather. Stay tuned
