Temperatures for the period averaged 40 degrees across the state which was +3.5 degrees from
normal. High temperatures averaged from 49 in the West to 52 in the East. Departure from
normal high temperatures ranged from -2 degrees from normal in the West to +7 degrees
from normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 29 degrees in the West to 29
degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from +2 degrees from
normal in the West to +3 degrees from normal in the East.
Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 8.57 inches statewide which was + 4.75 inches from
normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 11.76 inches, Central 9.41 inches, Bluegrass
7.57 inches and East 6.37 inches, which was + 7.66, + 5.27, + 4.25 and + 2.64 inches respectively from
normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 0 inches at Cumberland Gap to a high of
32.23 inches at Paducah.
