Temperatures for the period averaged 33 degrees across the state which was -676.25 degrees from
normal. High temperatures averaged from 42 in the West to 41 in the East. Departure from
normal high temperatures ranged from -840 degrees from normal in the West to -789 degrees
from normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 28 degrees in the West to 26
degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from -567 degrees from
normal in the West to -532 degrees from normal in the East.
Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 3.82 inches statewide which was + 0.40 inches from
normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 4.56 inches, Central 4.70 inches, Bluegrass
2.34 inches and East 3.54 inches, which was + 1.06, + 0.99, -0.67 and + 0.06 inches respectively from
normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 0.05 inches at Spindletop to a high of
7.22 inches at Bardstown.
