Temperatures for the period averaged 35 degrees across the state which was -3.5 degrees from
normal. High temperatures averaged from 46 in the West to 48 in the East. Departure from
normal high temperatures ranged from -7 degrees from normal in the West to +1 degrees
from normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 23 degrees in the West to 24
degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from -6 degrees from
normal in the West to -3 degrees from normal in the East.
Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 1.21 inches statewide which was -0.60 inches from
normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 2.73 inches, Central 1.42 inches, Bluegrass
0.19 inches and East 0.70 inches, which was + 0.79, -0.53, -1.40 and -1.05 inches respectively from
normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 0 inches at Cumberland Gap to a high of
15.73 inches at Paducah.
